Your Hosts

"Thank you for your warm welcome!"

"We arrived as visitors and left as friends "

"The kindest of hosts"

"The owners, who we now regard as friends, do not intrude into your privacy but are readily available if you need them."

We're Berni and Tim, we're the owners and hosts of Carpenter's Barn and we absolutely love the place. We've been here for over 30 years and feel as though we are guardians, not owners, of this very special piece of Warwickshire countryside. We have a smallholding here as well and keep Soay sheep and two retired ponies which guests can see from the safety of the footpath or I can introduce you to them if you'd like to meet them properly. We grow our own veg as well with varying degrees of success.

We've been here over 30 years now and were married in the village church (It's very simple and serene with some original 13th century green glass and well worth the short walk if you fancy a visit...) then trundled home on an old farm cart pulled by a beautiful bay shire horse to an old fashioned reception in our field with a pig roast (veggie options as well) and lots of vintage cider!

Mr CB isn't one for photos but he is my rock, my soulmate and my strength, we've lived and loved through many years together here with our family and more recently by ourselves but wouldn't wish to be anywhere else.

It's a pleasure and a privilege for us to share our special patch of countryside with you and to see our guests relax, unwind, be cossetted by the cottage, gaze at the garden, explore the countryside and eventually leave refreshed and recharged at the end of their stay.

The comments at the top are from previous guests' reviews. The last one is an important one for us and for you...we are always around for you if you need us but our life here is lived behind our garden gate well away from the cottage so if you're coming to stay for peace and quiet then please rest assured that we won't be hovering around you.

We hope that you enjoy your time here as much as we enjoy sharing it with you.

Berni and Tim
