The cottage has everything you need for an enjoyable stay, tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. Berni and Tim are friendly and welcoming and the welcome basket was lovely (especially the honey) The area is beautiful with some lovely places to visit. (Moreton on the Marsh Tuesday market, Bourton on the Water and Chipping Campden) We loved our stay. thanks to Berni and Tim and the dogs (especially smiley Alfie) X

We have just had a wonderful week at Carpenters Barn. The cottage is well laid out, well equipped and a very relaxing setting. The owners welcomed us so warmly, let us know some lovely walks, places to see beautiful sunsets for great photo ops and made sure we had the relaxing break we wanted. Wonderful welcome basket as well. Stunning area to visit can recommend Chipping Campden, Upton House, walks from the cottage and getting back to sit and relax with a coffee, yummy lemon drizzle cake and a good book on the patio weather permitting or the relaxing open living space if weather doesn't co-operate. Berni and Tim have created a very special and comfortable home away from home in Carpenters Barn! We really enjoyed our week here, sharing the view and even the new lambs with us! Even with baby bunnies playing outside the window. Our favourite spot and these Aussies really appreciated feeling so welcomed. Thanks guys for an unforgettable time

This was our second visit in 12 months and the welcome we got was as old friends. This property is the best quality we have found in 25 years of cottage holidays in the UK. It is amazing in its design and the quality of finish is excellent. The setting could not be better, beautiful grounds, quiet and plenty of footpaths for those who like walking in the countryside. We were blessed with beautiful weather and I can’t think of a more tranquil setting to relax. Thank you Berni & Tim for a lovely break.

After a recommendation from our daughters (see November 2023) we came for a few days R and R. It was lovely and quiet and restful. Enjoyed going out on our bikes and had a good meal at the Peacock pub at Oxhill. Great hosts!

Fabulous, just the get away break that we needed. didn't venture far but his wasn't needed - had time to chill, relax and enjoy. Very well equipped place, all you need and more. Great place to recharge and enjoy the company of my sisters. thank you Berni and Tim!
Perfectly cozy for a few days of hibernation while it was so cold outside - we really enjoyed the blankets, lovely fire and the chair which leans all the way back! Thenk you!

A perfect spot to visit the many places (NT, EH etc) in the locality. In fact, as we discovered, too many to achieve in a week! The cottage was delightful and our welcome could not have been more friendly.
We came to Pillerton Hersey not knowing what we'd find,
We soon met Tim and Berni, so welcoming and kind.
A well designed conversion, with quality work all through,
It has a lovely cosy feel, yet let and airy too.
The decor and the furnishings quite took our breath away -
Plus the added joy of artwork in each room on display.
We've watched Tim's bees collecting from the pretty flowers outside,
Seen fearless little Lily cat climb on pony's back for a ride.
We've met the sheep, the hens and dogs, been walking in the fields and woods.
To Upton house we went one day - glorious inside and out.
This break has been a special one, of that there is no doubt!
Thank you Berni and Tim for letting us stay ion your beautiful cottage which was so well equipped with everything one could ask for. The welcoming basket was such a lovely touch and we enjoyed it all. We had a wonderful stay and will recommend it to our friends.

I've had such a wonderful week's holiday here. The cottage is excellent, set in such peaceful surroundings and such a pleasure to sit and relax here. Thank you Berni and Tim for making me feel so welcome. I enjoyed our daily chats and enjoyed seeing the animals. You have something special here. Many thanks for the lovely welcome basket and flowers. Managed to do trips to Stratford, Charlecote House, Bourton on the Water, Hidcote, all worth a visit. Thanks again for being the perfect hosts.

Lovely, well laid out cottage. Especially liked the reclining chairs and the shower. Enjoyed Hidcote and Charlecote Park and Chipping Campden. So sorry to have had to leave a day early :(
